About Heirloom Tomatoes

Why heirloom tomatoes? What’s so special about heirlooms?

Heirloom tomatoes have exceptional flavor and come from seeds that have been handed down through generations. There are over 5,000 types of heirloom tomatoes, most of which are at the risk of extinction. 

Commercial tomatoes are hybridized tomatoes which means that flavor has been traded for another quality like thick skin or uniform shape and size.

Are heirloom tomatoes healthier than commercial tomatoes?

You bet. Our colorful mixes of heirloom tomatoes, including purples, oranges, greens, reds, and yellows have a broad nutrient and vitamin profile. Tomato Bliss products are nutrient-dense and real superfoods.  

Nutritional Information

What does nutrient dense mean?

Tomato Bliss products are rich in nutrients, vitamins and minerals but relatively low in calories. Our products have higher nutrient density than single variety tomatoes because each color has a different nutrient profile

  • You can enjoy Roasted Tomatoes as a snack with only 50 calories per cup. Similar to an apple! 
  • Our Roasted Heirloom Tomato Soup has only 100 calories per serving.

Do any of your products contain sugar, gluten or dairy?

Our 100% vegan products are made from vine-ripened 100% heirloom tomatoes and from sustainably-grown vegetables, premium extra-virgin olive oil and vinegar or lime juice, herbs, sea salt and cracked black pepper.

What does “clean-label” mean?

We make our products only with wholesome good-for-the-earth, good-for-the-body natural ingredients

Do any of your products contain dairy, eggs, fish, nuts, tree nuts, soy, corn or wheat?

Our products do not include dairy, eggs, fish, nuts, tree nuts, soy, corn or wheat. However, our products are produced in a facility that may use allergens in other products. The facility is sanitized before our products are produced.

What is the shelf life of your products?

Our products have a two-year shelf life. Refrigerate after opening.

Do you have a refund policy?
